This page explains how to request deletion of your QwkPay account and the personal data associated with it. QwkPay (“we”) is a self-checkout app for shopping at participating QwkPay stores. You can ask us to delete your account at any time using the steps below.
02How to request deletion
Send a deletion request from the phone number registered with your QwkPay account:
- Email support@qwkpay.in with the subject line “Delete my account”, from your registered email or mentioning your registered mobile number, or
- Call us at +91 92811 25895 and ask to delete your account.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder (via the registered mobile number) before processing it, so that no one else can delete your account.
03What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently delete:
- Your account and profile
- Your registered mobile number and contact details
- Your basket and shopping-session data
- App preferences and saved settings
04What is retained, and why
We are legally required to retain certain transaction records (GST tax invoices and payment records) under Indian tax and accounting law, even after your account is deleted. These records are kept only for the statutory retention period required by law and are then permanently deleted. They are not used for any other purpose after account deletion. Payment card and UPI details are never stored by QwkPay — they are handled directly by our payment processor (Razorpay).
05How long it takes
Deletion requests are processed within 90 days of verification (usually much sooner). Records we are legally required to keep are deleted at the end of their statutory retention period.
